Zapier Integration

Learn how to connect Workglue to Zapier to automate workflows between Workglue and thousands of other applications.

Zapier is an automation platform that lets you connect Workglue to other applications without writing code. You can use Zapier to send new leads from tools like Calendly or HubSpot directly into Workglue, push job and sales data to external systems when things happen in Workglue, sync salesperson calendars with Google Calendar or Outlook, and build custom workflows between Workglue and any app in the Zapier library.

Workglue has two separate Zapier integrations. Each serves a different purpose and uses a different API key for authentication.

Before you start

You will need a Zapier account. If you do not have one, visit zapier.com to create one before proceeding.

Because the Workglue Zapier integrations are private, they are not listed in the public Zapier directory. You must use the invite links below to add them to your Zapier account.

System-Level Integration

The System-Level Integration is for connecting Workglue sales leads and Jobs with external systems. It uses the Workglue Account API Key, which is found on the Integrations tab in My Account.

To add the System-Level Integration to your Zapier account, open the following link while logged in to Zapier:

System-Level Triggers

Triggers are events in Workglue that can start a Zap and include, but are not limited to:

  • Get job types
  • Get salespeople
  • Get lead sources
  • Get lead and job stages
  • New sales appointment
  • New job start
  • Job status change

System-Level Actions

Actions are things Workglue can do when a Zap runs and include, but are not limited to:

  • Create sales lead
  • Set job status

User-Level Integration

The User-Level Integration is for syncing an individual salesperson's Workglue calendar with their Google Calendar, Outlook, or other external calendar. It uses the Workglue User ID, which is found on the Profile tab in My Account.

To add the User-Level Integration to your Zapier account, open the following link while logged in to Zapier:

https://zapier.com/developer/public-invite/170677/e874b69e15c0c7cb720e9e12896ffab7/

User-Level Triggers include, but are not limited to:

  • New sales appointment
  • Update appointment date and time
  • Cancel or delete appointment

User-Level Actions include, but are not limited to:

  • Cancel calendar event
  • Save calendar event ID
  • Update calendar event

How to set up a Zap

  1. Log in to your Zapier account.
  2. Open the invite link for the integration you want to use.
  3. Accept the invite to add the Workglue integration to your account.
  4. In Zapier, create a new Zap.
  5. Select the Trigger app. This is either Workglue (if Workglue is sending data) or the external app (if the external app is sending data to Workglue).
  6. Select the Action app. This is the app that receives the data.
  7. Map the data fields between the two apps.
  8. Test the Zap and turn it on.

When prompted to authenticate Workglue, use your Workglue Account API Key for System-Level Zaps or your Workglue User ID for User-Level Zaps.
