Work Orders and Files on the Mobile App

Learn how to view Work Orders and access Job files from the Workglue mobile app.

Work Orders and Files are two sections on the Details page that give field workers what they need to do the work: the labor cost codes and materials assigned to the Job, and the photos and documents attached to the Job. Both are accessed from the hamburger menu on the Details page.

Work Orders

Work orders show the labor cost codes and materials assigned to the Job. Use this section to see:

  • What labor tasks are scoped for the Job.
  • What materials should be on site.
  • What cost codes are assigned to track your time against.

Viewing Work Orders on a Job

  1. Open the Workglue V2 app.
  2. Select the Job from your schedule.
  3. Select the hamburger menu in the top right.
  4. Select Work orders.
  5. Scroll through the line items.

Each line item shows the cost code, description, quantity, and units. This tells you what work has been estimated and what materials to use.

Why Work Orders matter on site

Work orders are how you know:

  • What materials should be available on the Job site.
  • What scope of work has been agreed to with the customer.

Files

The Files section shows photos and documents attached to the Job.

This includes:

  • Photos taken by the office or other field workers.
  • PaintScout work order PDFs, if your company uses PaintScout.
  • Any other files the office has uploaded.

File categories

Files uploaded from the mobile app are organized into categories customized by your office admin, such as Receipts, Customer Documents, Estimates, and Mobile uploads.

Some file categories are marked as Restricted. If you do not have permission to see Restricted documents, certain files will not appear in your Files section. If you cannot see a document you should see, contact your office admin.
