Tasks and Checklists on the Mobile App

Learn the difference between Tasks and Checklists, and how to complete them from the Workglue mobile app.

Workglue uses two different things to track work that needs to be done on a Job: Tasks and Checklists. Tasks are one-off to-dos. Checklists are predefined groups of tasks applied from a checklist template. Both are accessed from the hamburger menu on the Details page.

Tasks vs Checklists

  • Task. A single to-do, such as "Pick up paint from the store." Has an assignee, an optional due date, an optional description, and optional notifications. Completed individually.
  • Checklist. A predefined group of related tasks applied to the Job from a template. Example: a "Site Setup" checklist with items like "Set up shop," "Hang drop sheets," and "Equipment check." Completed item by item.

Tasks are flexible and added for one-off tasks that may or may not be attached to a Job. Checklists are standardized, so the same work follows the same steps every time.

Tasks assigned to you appear on the Home Screen above your schedule. You can complete them directly from there without opening the Job.

  2. On the Home Screen, find the task above your scheduled Jobs.
  3. Select the check box next to the task.
  4. Add a note if applicable.
