Status Manager

Learn how to use the Status Manager to track Job hours, completion percentages, and supervisor-reported progress across every Active Job.

The Status Manager is where you track production progress against estimated hours for every Active Job in your account. Use it to see how many hours have been logged versus estimated, what percentage of the work Workglue calculates as complete based on hours, and what percentage your supervisor reports as complete from the field. The two completion percentages let you compare hours burned against actual work done on site.

Accessing the Status Manager

  1. Select Reports in the navigation.
  2. Select the Status Manager tab.

Report columns

Each row in the Status Manager report shows:

  • Name. The Job name and customer account. Select the Job name to open the Job page.
  • Estimated Hours. The total labor hours estimated on the Original Estimate.
  • Hours To-Date. Regular labor hours logged against the Job so far.
  • OT Hours To-Date. Overtime labor hours logged against the Job so far.
  • Sub Hours To-Date. Hours logged by Subs against the Job so far.
  • Remaining Hours. Estimated Hours minus Hours To-Date and OT Hours To-Date.
  • Calculated % Completion. The percentage of estimated hours that have been used. Shown as a donut chart. Workglue calculates this automatically from hours logged.
  • Supervisor Report. A dropdown where your supervisor selects their reported completion percentage. This is a manual field, not automatic.

Each column header has a sort arrow. Select the arrow to sort the report by that column.

Calculated vs Supervisor Report completion

Workglue tracks two completion percentages because hours used and work done are not always the same:

  • Calculated % Completion. Hours To-Date divided by Estimated Hours.
  • Supervisor Report. Your supervisor selects what percentage of the actual work is done on-site and manually reports it.

Use Status Manager weekly to catch Jobs where hours are running over before they become a margin problem. A Calculated % Completion well above Supervisor Report is an early warning that the Job is losing money.

Filtering the report

Select the Filter dropdown in the top right to filter the report. Filter options let you narrow the report to specific Jobs, customers, or stages.

Updating the Supervisor Report percentage

  1. Find the Job in the Status Manager report.
  2. Select the dropdown in the Supervisor Report column for that row.
  3. Select the completion percentage that matches what is reported from the field.

The selected percentage is saved automatically. Select the X to clear the value.

Supervisor Report percentages are manual. They do not update automatically. Make sure your supervisors update their percentages regularly so the report stays accurate.
