My Account Profile

Learn how to manage your personal profile information, change your password, and generate a User Personal API Key in Workglue.

The Profile tab in My Account is where you manage your personal user information, your password, and your User Personal API Key. These settings are specific to your individual Workglue user account and do not affect other users on your company's database.

My Account is different from the Employees page. My Account controls your personal login and access settings, like your password and your User Personal API Key.

The Employees page controls your system role, employee details (cell phone, hire date, pay rate, and so on), and how you appear in the rest of Workglue. If you need to update your role or employee information, go to Employees, not My Account.

How to access My Account

  1. In the left navigation, select My Account near the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. The Profile tab opens by default.

Account Profile section

The Account Profile section displays your personal user information.

  • Employee Photo: Your profile photo. Used throughout Workglue to identify you to other users in your database.
  • First Name: Your first name.
  • Last Name: Your last name.
  • Email: The email address associated with your Workglue user account. This is also the email you use to log in.
  • Workglue User ID: A Workglue-generated ID assigned to your user account. Used by Workglue internally and for Zapier integrations. This field is not editable.

How to change your password

You can update your password directly from the Profile tab.

  1. Go to the Password section.
  2. Enter your new password in the Current Password field.
  3. Save your changes.

Use a strong password that you do not reuse on other sites. If you are signed in on multiple devices, you may need to log in again after changing your password.

User Personal API Key

A User Personal API Key is tied to your individual Workglue user account. It is used for personal integrations such as Zapier Calendar zaps and other user-based connections where actions should be attributed to you specifically.

The User Personal API Key is different from the company's shared account API key. The shared account API key is managed in the Integrations tab and is used for company-wide integrations and broader API access. If you need a shared key for a company integration, do not use your personal key.

 

How to view or copy your API key

  1. Go to the User Personal API Key section on the Profile tab.
  2. Select the eye icon to reveal the key.
  3. Select the copy icon to copy the key to your clipboard.

The Created date shows when the key was first generated. The Last Used date shows the most recent time the key was used to authenticate a request.

How to reset your API key

Resetting generates a brand new API key and invalidates the old one. Use this if you suspect your key has been compromised or if you want to rotate your credentials.

  1. Go to the User Personal API Key section.
  2. Select Reset.
  3. Update any integrations that used the old key with the new one.

 Any integrations using your old API key will stop working as soon as you reset it. Have your integration settings ready to update before you reset.

How to revoke your API key

Revoking permanently disables your API key without generating a new one. Use this if you no longer need API access from your user account.

  1. Go to the User Personal API Key section.
  2. Select Revoke.

After revoking, any integrations using the key will stop working. You can generate a new key later if needed.
