Marketing Report
Learn how to use the Marketing report to track leads by source across your sales pipeline.
The Marketing report shows where your sales leads come from. Use it to see how many leads came in from each Lead Source in a date range, with a chart showing the totals by source and a detailed table listing every lead. Use this report to evaluate which marketing channels are bringing in the most business and which are underperforming.
Accessing the Marketing report
- Select Reports in the navigation.
- Select the Marketing tab.
Setting a date range
The Marketing report requires a date range to populate. Until a date range is selected, the chart shows "Please select a date range to view the chart" and the table shows "Select a date range to the right to view all leads..."
To set a date range:
- Use the two date pickers at the top right of the Leads Found section.
- Enter a From and To date.
- The chart and leads table update automatically.
Number of Leads (by source) chart
The top section of the report shows a chart breaking down the total number of leads received in the selected date range, grouped by Lead Source. Use this to see at a glance which Lead Sources brought in the most leads.
Leads Found table
Below the chart is the full list of leads received in the selected date range. The header shows the total count (such as "0 Leads Found" or "47 Leads Found"). Columns include:
- Date. The date the lead was created.
- Account. The customer account the lead is attached to. Select the Account to open it.
- Job. The Opportunity or Job name. Select to open the Opportunity or Job.
- Source. The Lead Source assigned to the account when it was created.
Lead Sources
Leads on the Marketing report come from the Lead Source field on Customer Accounts and Contacts. Lead Sources are managed in My Account > Custom Fields > Lead Sources.
What counts as a lead
A lead is a Customer Account or Opportunity with a Lead Source assigned. The Marketing report counts leads based on the date they were created in Workglue, filtered by the date range you set.
Leads without a Lead Source assigned do not appear on the Marketing report. Make sure Lead Source is filled out when creating new Customer Accounts and Opportunities so they are tracked correctly.
