Lead Sources

Learn how to create and manage Lead Sources in Workglue to track where your customers and opportunities come from.

Lead Sources let you track how leads first come to your business. They appear in the Lead Source dropdown on Customer Accounts and Contacts, and can be used to filter and report on where your work is coming from.

How to access Lead Sources

  1. In the left navigation, select My Account.
  2. Select the Custom Fields tab.
  3. From the Select Category dropdown, choose Lead Sources.

The page displays the Customize Lead Sources section with the Lead Sources table.

How to add a new Lead Source

  1. Go to the Lead Sources section in Custom Fields.
  2. Select Add New Item at the bottom of the table.
  3. The Add New Lead Source modal opens.
  4. Enter a Lead Source Name.
  5. Select Save Lead Source.

How to edit a Lead Source

  1. Find the Lead Source in the table.
  2. Select the row to open the edit view.
  3. Update the name as needed.
  4. Save your changes.

How to delete a Lead Source

  1. Find the Lead Source in the table.
  2. Select the red trash icon on the right side of the row.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Deleting a Lead Source cannot be undone.

Lead Sources in Reports

Lead Source data is tracked in the Marketing report under Reports. The Marketing tab shows the Number of Leads by Source chart and a leads table with Date, Account, Job, and Source columns. Select a date range to view all leads that came in during that period, broken down by Lead Source.

To access the Marketing report:

  1. In the left navigation, select Reports.
  2. Select the Marketing tab.
  3. Select a date range to load the chart and leads table.
