Job Types

Learn how to create and manage Job Types in Workglue to categorize your work, control how hours are reported, and set custom rates for prevailing wage jobs.

Job Types let you categorize the work your company performs, like Commercial Exterior, Residential Interior, or Prevailing Wage. They appear as a required selection when creating or editing a Job or bid, and are used in reporting to filter and group work by category. Each Job Type has settings that control how hours over/under reporting works and whether the type uses custom pay rates instead of standard cost rates.

Job Types also have an optional color setting. Colors assigned to Job Types appear in reports to make it easier to identify work by type at a glance. To remove a color, select the white box in the color picker.
