Internal Messages and Field Messages

Learn how Internal Messages and Field Messages work on a job and who can see each.

Every opportunity and job in Workglue has two message tabs: Internal Messages for communication between office staff, and Field Messages for communication with the crew working in the field. They look similar, but the audience and visibility are different.

Internal Messages

Internal Messages are for internal office communication. These messages are not viewable in the mobile app, so the field crew cannot see them. Group messages between office staff can be created on this tab, with multiple conversations happening at the same time.

Field Messages

Field Messages are for communicating with the crew working in the field. These messages are viewable by anyone viewing the job on the web or in the mobile app.

If migrating from Workglue 1.0, the Notes/Messages field from the job detail page is now located on the Field Messages tab.
