Editing Job Details
Learn how to edit the details on a Job in Workglue and what each field is for.
Job details can be edited from the Overview tab of any Job. Select the pencil icon in the top right of the Job details section to open the edit form. When you are done, select Save or Cancel to discard your changes.
How to edit Job details
- Open the Job and stay on the Overview tab.
- Select the pencil icon in the top right of the Job details section.
- Update the fields you need to change.
- Select Save.
Job details fields
Job information
- Job Name. The name of the Job as it appears throughout Workglue and in QuickBooks Online.
- Job PO#. The Workglue-generated number assigned to the Job.
- Job Account. The customer account the job belongs to. Select Or Create Account to create a new Account, Refresh to reload the Account list, or Autofill Address from Account to populate the Job address fields from the Account address.
- Job Stage. The current stage of the Job. Changing this field has the same effect as changing the status pill from the Job header.
- Job Address 1. The primary address where the work is being performed.
- Job Address 2. Secondary address line, if applicable.
- Job City.
- Job State/Province.
- Job Zip/Postal
- Job Type. The type of work being performed, such as Commercial Interior or HOA Exterior.
Billing Address
- Billing Address 1.
- Billing Address 2.
- Billing City.
- Billing State.
- Billing Zip.
Assignments
- Job Supervisor.
- Job Sales Person.
- Job Crew Leader.
- Project Manager.
Other fields
- Tax Exempt. Whether the Job is tax exempt.
- Latest Job Log. A preview of the most recent Job Log entry.
Contacts
- Contacts. The contacts attached to this Job. Contacts can be added and removed here.
- Billing Contact. The contact responsible for billing on this Job.
Custom Fields
Custom Fields are company-specific fields configured for your account, such as Colors. Values can be entered or updated here.
Select Add New Custom Field to go to My Account > Custom Fields, where new field types can be created.
Adding a new custom field applies to every Job in your account, not just the one you are editing.
Scope of Work
A description of the work to be performed on the Job.
Job Start and Next Work Date are populated from the scheduler and cannot be edited here. Job Start is set when work is first scheduled on the Job. Next Work Date only appears when work is scheduled for a future date and does not include today.
