Dashboard

Learn how to use the Workglue Dashboard to track labor capacity, view scheduled jobs on a map, and monitor worker time clocks.

The Dashboard is the first page that loads when you sign in to Workglue. It gives you a top-level view of your team's labor capacity, the day's scheduled jobs on a map, and live time-clock activity for every worker on every job. From here you can open a jobs tab to see the full schedule and clock-in details for each worker.

Weather

A 3-day forecast appears in the top-right corner of the Dashboard. By default, it shows the weather for your company's location. You can override this in two ways: manually set a city in Weather Settings, or allow Workglue to use your device's current location through your browser.

How to manually set or change your weather location:

  1. Select the weather widget on the Dashboard, or go to My Account > Settings and scroll to Weather settings.
  2. Change your Temperature Unit: Fahrenheit or Celsius.
  3. Enter your City.
  4. Enter your State/Province.
  5. Enter your Zip/Postal Code (optional).
  6. Click Save.

Selecting the weather widget is the fastest way to update it.

How to use your device's current location:

  1. The first time Workglue requests your location, your browser will show a permission prompt. Click Allow.
  2. The weather widget will update to your current location automatically.

If you accidentally blocked location access, you can re-enable it in your browser's site settings for Workglue.

Labor Capacity

Labor Capacity is the primary KPI on your Dashboard. It compares your team's available hours against scheduled hours, PTO, and remaining capacity for any date range you choose. The bar chart shows daily breakdowns, and the totals on the right give you the rolled-up numbers for the full range.

The four metrics:

  • Capacity Hours: total available working hours across all employees for the date range.

  • Scheduled Hours: total hours scheduled to jobs in the date range.

  • PTO Hours: paid time off hours falling in the date range.
  • Remaining Hours: capacity left after scheduled work and PTO are accounted for
How to change the date range:
  • Click the start date picker in the top-right of the Labor Capacity section.

  • Select the start date.

  • Click the end date picker just below it.

  • Select the end date.

The chart and four totals update automatically.

Scheduled Jobs Map

A map below the KPI shows every job scheduled for the selected date. The default is today's date.

How to change the date:

Use the left and right arrows on either side of the date to move backward or forward by one day, or select the date picker to jump to a specific date.

Job List

Below the map is the full list of jobs scheduled for the selected date. Each row shows the customer name, job type, job name, and initials of every assigned worker.

How to view a job's schedule and time clock:

  1. Select the + next to the job name

  2. The row expands to show every worker on the job with their schedule and time clock entries for the day.

What each column shows when expanded:

  • Worker. The employee assigned to the job

  • Schedule. The start and end time the worker is scheduled to be on site.

  • Time Clock. The worker's actual clock-in and clock-out times.

  • Messages. Directs you to the Message Center.

A red Unscheduled badge means the worker clocked in to the job without being scheduled to work.

Clock-In location

Workglue records the GPS location each worker clocks in from. You can view this directly from the expanded job row.

View a clock-in location

  1. Expand the job by selecting the +.

  2. Select the location pin icon next to a time entry.

  3. The Clock-In Location modal opens with a map, a marker on the clock-in spot, and the latitude and longitude.
  4. Select Open in Google Maps to open the location in a new tab.

Job Log

The Job Log box shows the most recent log entries posted across your jobs. Each entry shows the worker's name, the job,  the log content, and the date and time it was posted. Select View All to open the full job log report.

Opportunities

The opportunities box at the bottom right shows recent opportunities with the contact name, opportunity name, and stage. Select any opportunity to open it.
